A stronger alternative is solvent based Zinsser Bullseye 123 Plus Primer. This primer has been designed for use on virtually any surface and seals in water and other stains to create a great base for painting or wallpapering. Zinsser Sealants As well as specific Zinsser primer, the extensive Zinsser range also includes Zinsser Grandz. Zinsser Grandz is a specialist sealer and bond coat which has been developed specifically for use on porous surfaces prior to painting or wallpapering them. It can be used directly on plaster, both old and new, plasterboard, on wallpaper, lining paper or a variety of fillers to create a smooth base for decorating.
