When it comes to the environment, it seems that every company is keen to offer eco-friendly products. However in the world of interior design, things are slightly more difficult. Although there are an abundance of eco-friendly home accessories on the market, it is much harder to find eco-friendly materials for actually renovating or decorating your home. Luckily one wallpaper brand is readdressing the balance thanks to their eco-friendly wallpaper range. Here we look at who Erfurt Mav are and what they are offering in terms of eco-friendly wallpaper. Erfurt Mav is a collaboration of two companies. The first is a wall covering company founded in the 1800s by Hugo Erfurt. Hugo Erfurt designed a wide range of wall coverings and by far his most successful development was the introduction of wood textured wallpaper. This sold globally for decades and secured Erfurt as one of the leading wallpaper manufacturers of all time. Still family owned and now operated by Hugo’s great-great-great-great-great grandson FriedStrich Erfurt, the company joined forces with another well respected company McMullen and Valentine, known as MAV in 2005 and the company now operates under the brand Erfurt Mav. Putting their experitise and extensive knowledge together, Erfurt Mav are now one of the most well know suppliers of paintable wallcoverings in Europe, famous for their ever growing range of textured wallpaper designs. So where does eco-friendly wallcovering come in? Well, always ahead of the game, Erfurt Mav have launched an eco-friendly textured wallpaper range  - one of the first companies to do so. Named Naturrock, this eco-friendly wallpaper is manufactured using FSC approved paper and is of the same high quality construction as other lines in the Erfurt Mav range. When people think of eco-friendly paper, they often think of dull off white characterless paper although this is certainly not the case when it comes to Erfurt Mav’s Naturrock range.
