Description
Saarpor Red Label Insulating Lining Paper
Our traditional insulating lining paper by Saarpor, consists of a 4mm polystyrene layer laminated to a high quality non-woven lining paper and provides a moderate amount of thermal insulation. Half way between the 2mm Insulating Polystyrene and the Graphite Insulating Lining Paper, it offers an economical way to insulate your walls and ceilings.
Insulating Lining Paper is a Paste the Wall product which makes it very easy to hang for both professional and DIY decorators. It also creates an effective basic protection against internal mould growth and condensation and provides some sound insulation too.
If you need more than a moderate level of insulation we recommend using Graphite Insulating Lining Paper or Wallrock Thermal Liner.
Benefits of Insulating Lining Paper
- It can be painted or overhung with another paste-the-wall liner for perfect finish
- Provides a Moderate Level of Thermal Insulation
- Resists Damp and Mould Formation
- Covers Cracked, Damaged Plaster
- Suitable for Walls & Ceilings
- Paste the Wall Only
- Twice as Thick as Regular Polystyrene
- Contains No PVC
Important - If you are planning to hang lining paper or Wallpaper on top of Insulating Lining Paper, we strongly recommend that you use a non-woven lining paper such as Wallrock Fibreliner or Wallrock Fibreliner Plus.
Traditional lining paper shrinks and expands when pasted and can cause lifting on the joints. In contrast, non-woven lining paper is dimensionally stable and ensures a perfect finish.
Important Safety Information
Compliance with Building Regulations;
This product should not be used in isolation for projects such as new builds and extensions where Building Regulations are applicable. If used as part of a system that both adds to the insulation value and protects the surface from fire it may be compliant but expert advice should be sought.
Fire Safety
When used in isolation this product is suitable as a localised ‘problem solver’ for cold external walls and is not recommended for use in fire escape routes or on ceilings.
Fire resistance can also be improved significantly by cross lining the surface with Wallrock Fireliner applied with Fireliner FR Adhesive
Preparation
Surfaces painted prior to 1960 may contain lead pigments and special precautions should be taken when preparing such surfaces.
